Lock Down Tests

Follow

We need a way to lock down tests so that they may not be printed by copying/pasting the content. Our tests are currently set so that Ctrl-P can't be used to print the webpage however, we've come across students cheating by copying the test content then cut/paste to a Word document so that it can be shared.

I understand that we can't eliminate cheating all together but another barrier would be helpful. FWIW, other barriers being used are: randomized questions, randomized answer options, limiting the # of students who take a given set of questions (using test forms).

Yes, this request appears in several Community threads. Perhaps the threads could be combined.

Any barrier that may discourage cheating and helps to provide test security is and important feature.

We use iPads and are looking for a similar feature. With the new iPad updates their are other apps that have tapped into the "lockdown browser" mode. Adding this to the iOS app would be very helpful. Currently formative assessments are OK on schoology, summative--not so much. Adding this feature would allow summative assessments as well.

    Hi Señor Mahn,

Thanks for the feedback. We’re actively working on a feature that will enable you to create a quiz that randomly pulls questions for each student taking a test. This will help ensure they only see their own set of questions. This feature will be available in July.

    Thank you.

THIS COMMENT WAS FROM 2014...HAS THIS FEATURE BEEN ADDED YET?

CAN YOU ADD A FEATURE THAT PREVENT STUDENTS FROM LEAVING (GOOGLE THE TEST QUESTIONS) THE TEST ONCE THEY HAVE STARTED OR AT LEAST LOCK THE TEST/ALERT THE TEACHER?
