I am using and loving the new gradebook setup. However I would find it very helpful to also sort by due date (newest first) in addition to the three sorting options we currently have. That would allow me to see the most recent options IN ORDER first which would be great!

Yes and you would have the newest assignments at the left -- much easier for grading!
Actually - please make grade book SORTABLE just like assignments. Thank you.
Also, it seems that when you add a grade column to your gradebook, it puts all of those at the end in the order you added them. It would be helpful to be able to assign a date to them so that they show up in order with the other assignments.
Would also like the ability to sort gradebook by categories.

Yes yes yes! This is a vital need. I have to scroll for hundreds of assignments to the right every time I need to see the newest due dates! We need this so much, as we create items out of order, but we reference and access assignments by due dates! This is a vital fix in my opinion!!! I hope it goes into effect for the very next update!
I can't even get it to sort by due dates. It scrambles them up and I have triple checked all dates and am certain I have all setting correct. Really glitchy LMP so far.

I may insert or change assignments or the order I want them in on my Materials page.
Maybe sort-like-materials page order option under sort-by.
