A way to flag when a new revision is submitted.

Follow

I can tell if a student has turned something in the first time because it comes up under my "not graded list."  However, if a student resubmits something for more credit, I have no way of easily knowing it is there unless the student sends me a message.  Here are a couple of ideas for setting it up so that the teacher knows when another revision is submitted:

An option for only receiving an email if a student submits a new revision.

A option for student to check when they add a new submission indicating they need this assignment re-graded.  Then it will come up in the "items to grade" area.

Thanks for considering these ideas!

    Hello,

We have released an update that will send a reminder when an assignment is resubmitted.

EDIT: This update has been temporarily reverted. We will add a notification here as soon as the feature has been re-enabled.

EDIT 2: This feature has been re-enabled. If you encounter any issues using the new feature, please let us know by clicking 'Submit a Request' near the top-right of this page.

    Sincerely,
    Jon

Yes - I often flag something that I want the student to revise and resubmit, but have no one of knowing when there has been a resubmission. I want it to go back into my ungraded list if a revision is posted after I've graded it.

No answer, but I definitely think this tool would be outstanding to create. I think a simple way to create the feature may just be to have the new submission override the old submission from the basis of the date of submission. If a submission is made post date of the graded copy, it alerts the teacher it is an ungraded submission.

Yes! A notification for "Revision submitted" when students update their Submission would make things easier for teachers.

A flag similar to "needs grading" is needed for work that has been re-submitted. I get an email notification, but I have no way to easily locate it when I go to the class list.

I appreciate you putting this feature in. However, is there a way to override the automatic "Late" label in re-submitted assignments? Also, when I click on a revision but don't grade it right away the notification goes away. It would be nice if I had to click on a "regrade" button or something before the notification goes away. I have forgotten to go back and grade revisions at times.

Ditto - Better still for me would be a way to differentiate between new submissions and old grades within the schoology gradebook itself. Maybe the number could be a different color until it is clicked or something. Using the notifications alone I end up with dozens or more than become cumbersome to track and wade through.
