I think it would be great if we could tag students (example: @SampleStudent), and it would notify that they have been tagged in a post. This would be fantastic when students are working in a discussion board I think, and let students know when someone is replying to them or referencing their statements. Likewise, as a teacher, I could give a student props for great work directly on the wall, and they would be notified.
