Instructor Q&A

Learning Objective Data

I recently gave a mock test with state learning objectives attached to each question, and I want to see how my students did by learning objective so that I know what areas to focus on come end of course exams. The best option I've found is to make the mock a graded assessment so that it pulls into the Mastery tab in the Student Achievement spreadsheet, but the data get muddled up with data from past assessments. I've set it to a decaying average with a 99% weight on the most recent observation, but I'd really prefer to have clean data.

Is there a report that will show me performance by question / learning objective on this specific assessment?

Alternatively, is there a way I can tell Schoology to NOT pull data from the previous assessments in the Mastery tab?

    Hi, Mr. Sawyer.

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

Since you are using AMP in your Enterprise version of Schoology, you should be able to export an Item Analysis Report. This report analyzes the student's results, broken down by individual questions, to view student achievement by any AMP Question Type in a managed assessment.

Have you exported an Item Analysis Report and it didn't provide the data you were looking for?

Please let me know and I can take a closer look into this for you.

    Mr. Sawyer

My understanding is that only Managed Assessments controlled by my district show up in the AMP tab. Since these aren't Managed Assessments, I'm not finding them there. Is there a way for me to change my personally made assessments to "managed assessments"? If I could do that and get the Item Analysis Report, I believe that would be sufficient raw data for me to pivot to what I'm wanting.
