Negatives not showing up in assignments

Follow

Negative symbol (minus symbol) not showing up when I write equations or use LaTex. The large blank spaces in vector b and c are supposed to be - signs.

The code I am using is \vec{b} = \langle 2, -5 \rangle, which has worked before without causing the negatives to disappear. When I drag the LaTex image, it does show up with the negative.

    Hi Kenneth,

Thank you for reaching out in the Schoology Community!

I was not able to replicate this issue on my end when I entered the code you provided.  Please see screenshot below of my view. Does this issue continue to persist on your end?  If so, please let me know and I will continue to investigate this issue to pinpoint the root cause.

Yeah, it is still persisting but I use the work around below:

I have discovered a work around by breaking the equation up. I first do in LaTex "\vec{b} = \langle" and then I insert an equation from the insert tool, using the "Equation" option. -2,5. From there I then go back to LaTex and insert "\rangle". The equation shows the negatives just fine as long as they aren't a part of the LaTex code.
