Ability to Print using New Assessments

Follow

We love the new assessment feature and new question types. We are having trouble printing a paper copy of the test for students. Is this possible?

Being able to preview the entire test at once will resolve this issue. I notice that even students only see one question at a time.

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

Yes please! Some of our students require a hard copy and not being able to print is an issue.

I agree as well.  For my students with certain accommodations, it is necessary that I have a hard copy available in addition to the online version.  Thanks for working to improve this, and I am looking forward to having this capability.

    Hi again everyone!

In addition to rolling out our new Printing Assessments feature, today we SUPER happy to release: Observational Grading for Assessments.

What is Observational Grading, you ask?

Observational grading empowers classroom instructors to assess students where they are, without disrupting the learning process. It provides instructors with the ability to:

    • > Record student performance-based tasks without requiring students to log into Schoology and take an assessment themselves.
    • > Enter student results on a printed assessment back into Schoology.

    Accomodations? Check. Flexible Assessments? Done.

For more information about Observational Grading, please visit the Help Center article: Observational Grading for Assessments.

Thanks again for your support and feedback!

Has this ability been changed/suspended?  I followed Charles's instructions, but the interface I'm seeing is different from what is shown in the instructions.  Specifically, there is no drop-down menu that provides the option to print.  There is a drop-down "Actions" menu, but printing is not an option.  This is really a feature that needs to be enabled, as described in many previous comments.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for reaching out! The ability to print assessments is still available. We made some recent UI updates to the header in Assessments. The Help Center article, Printing Assessments, is still being updated by our team to reflect these recent changes.

Our Support team has confirmed the issue you're describing is a visual bug that occurs when opening the Actions menu from within the Questions tab of an assessment. You can still select the Print option from the Actions menu within another tab, such as the Setup or Grading tabs:

Additionally, I've converted your comment into a Support ticket, so our team can update you when this visual issue is resolved.

    I hope this helps!
