Feature Suggestion: Non-Editing Teacher Level

Follow

Currently we just have students & Admin profiles.  We need to have more options.  Possibly something that is a Non-Editing Teacher, Guest Teacher, etc.  This person could participate in discussions and see postings, but not have full access to viewing / editing grades and changing up assignments etc.

    The time has come!

I am happy to let you know that Section Override Roles is now available in Schoology! With this new feature, you can provide more granular access to Course Management features such as the gradebook and attendance.

This feature requires that your school's System Administrator enables Section Override Roles for your school. Please direct your System Administrator to this Help Article for full details: https://support.schoology.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000153828

Thank you all for your support for this feature and your patience!

As a support teacher (English as a Second Language), I fully support this. Currently the "Advisor" role only shows me what students see, whereas I'd like to upcoming things that haven't been published, etc.

This is needed at the enrollment level (rather than/in addition to a role) as well.  We have lots of teachers who are mentoring each other and lots of peer visiting.  It would be great to be able to join a class without being a student, and without being an admin of the course.

All other LMS have this feature. Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard. Schoology should do this as well. People have been asking for a long time.
