If your district is interested in the Standards-Based Gradebook and you wish to test out the features before rolling it out to your school buildings, you can create a "test" school in your Schoology organization and set up District Mastery in this building.
Add a test school building to your organization
- Click Tools in the header at the top of the page.
- Click School Management.
- Click Schools.
- Click +Add School.
- Complete the required school information:
- School title
- Category
- Address line 1
- City
- Country
- State
- Phone
- Click Create School to save changes.
- Click Tools in the header.
- Click School Management.
- Click Schools.
- Click the test school title.
- Copy the URL in the browser URL bar.
Import District Objective Library
Once our Professional Services team has enabled District Mastery in your organization, follow the District Objective Library Import instructions for the newly created school.
Create a course in the test school building
Create courses in the newly created school building:
- Click Courses in the header.
- Click My Courses.
- Click Create Course in the right column.
- Complete the required course information:
* Select the new school building from the School drop-down menu.
* Course Name
* Section Name
* Subject Area
* Level
* Grading Periods - Click Create to save your changes.
Align and grade materials with the standards-based gradebook/district mastery
Once your course is created in the school building with district mastery enabled, follow the instructions to align and grade materials with the standards-based gradebook. You can keep track of students' mastery in the standards-based gradebook.
