How to Reset Parent Access Codes


If you accidentally provide a student’s Parent Access Code to the wrong parent, or if there has been some other mishap in the distribution of the Parent Access Codes, it is important that you reset Parent Access Code to prevent unauthorized access to student information. You can reset an individual student’s Parent Access Code, or you can reset all of the Parent Access Codes at once.

If a parent has already linked him or herself to the wrong child, you will first need to remove the association.

All of the the following settings can be accessed from the Manage Users area of User Management:


  1. Click Tools.
  2. Select User Management.
  3. Click Manage Users on the left.

To remove the parent/child association for a specific student:


  1. Click the Parent/Advisors tab.
  2. Search the student's name.
  3. Click the X to the right of the parent's name.
  4. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to complete.

To remove all parent/child associations:


  1. Click the Parent/Advisors tab.
  2. Select all users by checking the box in the header row, next to First Name.
  3. Click Select Bulk Action.
  4. Select Clear Parents.
  5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to complete.

Once you have removed parent associations, you can reset the Parent Access Code(s), and redistribute the new codes.

To reset a specific student’s Parent Access Code:


  1. Click the Parents/Advisors tab.
  2. Check the box to the left of the student’s name.
  3. Click the Select Bulk Action drop-down menu.
  4. Select Reset Selected under Parent Access Codes.
  5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page to complete.

To reset all students’ Parent Access Codes


  1. Click the Parents/Advisors tab.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Select Reset All.
  4. Click Reset to complete.

    If I (as a parent) added the wrong code, and now the wrong student is under my account, how do I delete her and get my own daughter added?
