Login (Instructors)

You can use an email address or username to log in, depending on how your account was set up.

Important Note: If you are logging in to the Schoology mobile app, please use these steps.

See below for instructions on logging in to the Schoology website:

Email Login

  1. Go to app.schoology.com
  2. Enter your Email and Password. If you can't remember the email address, check with one of your Support Contacts.
  3. Click Log in.

Username Login

  1. Go to app.schoology.com
  2. Enter your Username, Password, and the name of your school. To find your school, enter the name of your school or organization in the School or Postal Code field. As you type, a menu will appear that enables you to select your school.
  3. Select your school from the list.
  4. Check the box to Remember my School (optional). This setting saves your school on the current device and browser.
  5. Click Log in.

Single Sign-On (SSO) Login (Enterprise only)

Single Sign-On, or SSO, allows you to log in to Schoology using a password shared by another system, such as Google Apps, Office 365, or another system at your school. If you're unsure if your school uses SSO, check with one of your Support Contacts.

If your school or organization authenticates users with SSO, follow these steps:

  1. Go to app.schoology.com
  2. Click SSO Login at the bottom right corner.

  3. Enter your school name. A green arrow to the right of your school's name indicates that your school uses SSO for login.
  4. Select your school from the list.
  5. Check the box to Remember my School (optional). This setting saves your school on the current device and browser.
  6. Click Log in.
  7. The SSO screen or login portal displays automatically where you can enter your login information. If you're unsure, check with one of your Support Contacts.

Note: If you log in using SSO, do not reset your password using the Forgot Your Password link. Since login credentials for SSO are managed by your school's System Administrators, reach out to your Support Contact for assistance resetting your password.

Custom Domain or Subdomain Login (Enterprise Only)

If your organization uses a custom domain or subdomain for login (for example, http://schoology.myschool.com or http://sgyacademy.schoology.com) follow these instructions:

  1. Enter the custom domain or subdomain in the browser URL field.
  2. You will be taken to the appropriate login portal where you can enter your login information.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

Forgot Password

Click Forgot your password to reset your password via email.

Note: If you do not have an email address associated with your account, you will not be able to reset your password using the Forgot your password link. However, instructors or system administrators should be able to reset students' passwords. Contact one of your Support Contacts if you need assistance with logging in to your own Schoology account. 

Email or Username

Depending on how your account was registered or set up by your school or organization, you may log into your account with an email address or username. Confirm whether an email or username is associated with your account and check that you are using the correct login method. If you're unsure, check with one of your Support Contacts.

Confirm School

If you enter a username instead of an email address, you must also select a school when you log in. Double-check you have entered the correct school. If you have the setting Remember my school checked, you can click X to the right of the school name to remove it and enter the correct school name.
