How do I use the Bulk Edit feature?

The Bulk Edit feature displays the following information for graded items in a course:

  • The name of the item.
  • A checkbox to publish or unpublish the item.
  • The grading category with which the item is associated.
  • The Max pts value of the item.
  • The Factor of the item.
  • The grading scale or rubric with which the item is associated.
  • The grading period with which the item is associated.

The icon to the left of the item name will open the item in a new tab. You can click the X to the far right to delete an item.

You may click on any of these areas to make adjustments to the settings associated with the graded item. Once you've made your changes, click Save Changes on each page of this area to apply changes.

Bulk Edit is not an option in my Options menu from within the Materials section.  It is there in the Gradebook.  Does this have to be turned on by the SysAdmin?

    Hi Cory,

Please make sure that in Step 3 from the section "To access Bulk Edit from the Materials Index", you are clicking 'All Materials' and sorting by a specific type of material. This step assumes you already have materials created within your course.

If you continue to have an issue accessing Bulk Edit, please let me know and we will research the issue in more detail via a Support Ticket.

    Thank you!

I see the issue, this feature only works for assignments, tests/quizzes, and discussions.  I was looking to Bulk Edit files/folders.  I was hoping to find a way to publish/unpublish bulk groups of files and folders.  Any suggestions on accomplishing that task?
