Review and Submit Assignments on Android (Students)

When you receive an assignment from a teacher in one of your classes, you can review and submit the assignment from the Schoology app on an Android device.  

Review an Assignment

Depending on how you have set up your notifications in Schoology, when a new assignment is posted to one of your classes you will receive updates in one or more places: 

• Push notifications from your Android device.  
• Email.
• Text Message.
• Schoology Notifications panel.
• The course's Upcoming feed.
• The course Materials section.

To open and review the assignment, tap it from one of the above areas.

1. Tap the navigation menu icon 

   

    in the upper-left corner.
2. Tap Notifications.
3. Tap the notification for the assignment you wish to view.

2. Tap the course in which the assignment is located.
3. Tap the Upcoming panel on the top panel.
4. Tap the assignment you wish to view.

You can also access the assignment using the Upcoming and Course Dashboard options from the Home screen.

1. From the Home screen, tap Course Dashboard on the top panel.
2. Tap the course in which the assignment is located.
3. Tap Upcoming on the top panel.
4. Tap the reminder for the assignment you wish to view.

Submit an Assignment

After you've reviewed the assignment, the Schoology Android app offers several ways to create and turn it in.

To write and turn in an assignment:

1. Open the assignment and tap Grades/Submissions.
2. Tap + in the upper-right corner.
3. Select one of these options: 

• Upload Submissions to add a photo/video/file/resource.
  
  

  • Take a photo

1. 1. 1. 1. Tap Photo.
         2. Take a photo with the camera and tap the checkmark to save the photo to the assignment.
         3. Tap the Post icon 

            

             in the upper-right corner to submit.

• • Record a video

1. 1. 1. 1. Tap Video.
         2. Tap the camera to record 
         3. Tap the stop icon to finish recording 
         4. Tap the checkmark to save the recording to the assignment
         5. Tap the Post icon

• • Add a file
    
    

    Submit a file or photo/video on your device.

         2. Select the desired photo/video/file on your device.
         3. Tap the Post icon

• • Add a resource
    
    

    Add a file from your Schoology Resources folder. You can attach files you created in other apps from here as well, including Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

         2. Locate the desired collection or resource app and select the file.
         3. Tap the checkmark to save the file to the assignment. 
         4. Tap the Post icon 

            

             in the upper-right corner to submit.

• Create Text Submission to write a text-only response. Tap the checkbox next to Draft to save a working copy of the assignment, or the Post icon
