New Login Flow for Schoology iOS and Android Apps

Note to Parents: If your school does not currently include parents in its authentication service, you must select Log in through (step 2 below) when logging into the mobile app. If your school does include parents in its SSO, follow the below steps and select the school.

If you don't know if your school includes parents in its authentication service, contact your school's System Administrator to find out.

Beginning in January, users of both the Schoology iOS and Android mobile apps will experience a new, more streamlined login flow.

To log in to the Schoology mobile app:


  1. Tap into the Find your school or domain field to search for your organization.


  2. Tap CONTINUE TO SCHOOLOGY to log through using your email/username and password combination. Use this option if you are on a basic account, for example, or if you aren't included in your organization's Single-Sign On.
    Go to step 6 if you choose this option.
    Note: Contact your school's System Administrator if you're uncertain.
  3. To create a new Schoology account, tap Sign up for Schoology at the bottom of the screen.



  1. Use the keyboard to enter the name of your school or organization. As you type, matching choices populate in the list.

  2. Tap the name of your organization when it displays.



  1. Enter your login credentials and tap LOG IN.


  1. If your school or organization authenticates users with Single-Sign On, the SSO login screen displays automatically.

  1. For example, if your organization uses Google SSO, you are brought to the Google sign-in screen after choosing your school. Enter your Google credentials to sign in to Schoology. 
    Note: Your organization's preferred login screen displays automatically for each subsequent login from the device. For example, if your school shares devices, the Google login screen displays automatically for the next student who logs in on the device.
  2. You can also tap the link at the bottom to use your email and password combination to log in.


  1. The next time someone opens the Schoology app on the mobile device, the same school or organization displays as the default, including your SSO screen. This makes it easier to log in on your own device, and is also useful if your school uses shared devices.

  2. To change the school or organization to log into, tap the Log in through your School field and begin typing the new name. Matching choices populate as you type.
