New Login Flow for Schoology iOS and Android Apps

Note to K-12 System Admins: If you do not currently include parents in the authentication service at your school, they must select Log in through app.schoology.com (step 2 below) when logging into the mobile app. If you do include parents in your SSO, parents/guardians will follow the below steps and select the school.
Note to Google SSO accounts: Beginning April 11th, the mobile login process has changed for Schoology accounts that use Google SSO for authentication. These changes are in response to security updates Google is making to their authentication process. Click here for instructions on how to log in to the Schoology mobile app using Google SSO.

To log in to the Schoology mobile app:

 

 
  1. Tap into the Find your school or domain field to search for your organization.

    OR 

  2. Tap CONTINUE TO SCHOOLOGY to log in through app.schoology.com using your email/username and password combination. Use this option if you aren't included in your organization's Single-Sign On.
    Go to step 6 if you choose this option.
    Note: Check with one of your Support Contacts if you are uncertain.
  3. To create a new Schoology account, tap Sign up for Schoology at the bottom of the screen.

 

 

  1. Use the keyboard to enter the name of your school or organization. As you type, matching choices populate in the list.

  2. Tap the name of your organization when it displays.

 

 

  1. Enter your login credentials and tap LOG IN.

 

  1. If your school or organization authenticates users with Single-Sign On, the SSO login screen displays automatically.

  1. For example, if your organization uses Microsoft Office 365, you are brought to the Office 365 sign-in screen after choosing your school. Enter your Microsoft credentials to sign in to Schoology. 
    Note: Your organization's preferred login screen displays automatically for each subsequent login from the device. For example, if your school shares devices, the Office 365 login screen displays automatically for the next student who logs in on the device.
  2. You can also tap the link at the bottom to use your email and password combination to log in.

 

  1. The next time someone opens the Schoology app on the mobile device, the same school or organization displays as the default, including your SSO screen. This makes it easier to log in on your own device, and is also useful if your school uses shared devices.

  2. To change the school or organization to log into, tap the Log in through your School field and begin typing the new name. Matching choices populate as you type.
